Ruby's 2nd Ice Cream Birthday

We celebrated our sweet little Rue turning two by having lots of friends over for ice cream sundaes.  We had a full sundae bar complete with glass ice cream dishes that I found at Goodwill, a pretend ice cream parlor, a coloring station, a make-your-own ice cream hair bow station and last but not least an ice cream cone piƱata.  Party favors were scented ice cream cone bubbles from Hobby Lobby and balloons with brown craft paper cones in the shape of ice cream cones.  We had so much fun and I really can't believe my baby is this big!

Will's 3rd John Deere Tractor Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Will's birthday with our sweet family and friends today. It was insanely windy and pretty chilly but the sun was shining. Will loved it and went to bed wearing his green bandana.

The spread included a vegetable garden, chicken wings, feed, pigs n' a blanket, haystacks and of course. . .

CUPCAKES!

Maybe I ate the rest of this once I got home. . .

We sent guests home with dirt desserts and little tractor boxes filled with goodies.

Cousin love

Watching trains

Ruby verses Tractor (the tractor won)

How cool is this corn pool? As long as you don't mind finding corn in your pull-up, diaper, pockets, neck rolls, etc hours later.

Happy Birthday to my sweet, hilarious, kind, creative, loving, crazy boy! I love being your mama. I love the joy you bring to our family. You are the best. Seriously, the best. Kiss, hug, high-five, pound. XOXO

Ruby Turns 1!

So Ruby turned 1. . . about 3 months ago and we had a sweet little party for her. Our themes were sunshine and lemonade! She really is "our little sunshine" as she brings so much joy to our lives. Here are some pics from the day.

Me and my sweet girl waiting for our guests to arrive.

She started walking about a week before her birthday

Lots of lemonade to choose from

And maybe I'm a little obsessed with mason jars. . . just a little. . .

Even Ruby was sampling flavors

Lemon Creme Cake

Lots of sweet friends celebrated with us. . .not all cooperated with having their picture taken

She got a little help with the candle from her broski

She licked it twice and then was done.

We sent our guests home with cupcakes in jars and wands

Happy Birthday to the sunshine in our lives! MUAH!

William's 2nd Fireman Birthday

William turns 2 in just 4 days so we celebrated his birthday yesterday. Our dear friends have a son Graham who was born 2 weeks before Will so we did a joint birthday party. We met these friends in our childbirth class that we took when we were having Will so the boys have known each other literally, since birth. It has been so fun to watch them change and grow these past two years. Will is OBSESSED with fire engines these days so that was the theme. He typically wears a fireman's helmet around the house while he plays and sometimes forces us to wear them too, so he was completely delighted to see everyone walking around with helmets on. We had so much fun with all of our friends eating cake, pushing firetrucks around and throwing hay. :)

I still cannot believe my baby is a walking/talking/wrestling/dancing two-year-old! Sniffle, Sniffle.
